We work actively at breaking the stigma around the capabilities and social inclusivity of those living with Down Syndrome and other Special Needs.  We brining a platform to Society by making and bringing awareness to communities that special needs people are using their disability to be abled, whereas abled people are using their ability to be disabled. We contribute in their professional rehabilitation to improve their lives by strengthening their capacities that will facilitate their integration into society in order for them to become active, appreciated and respected individuals.

The foundation predominantly focuses on young adults which has completed school and have no where to go, the Foundation have an ongoing growing membership to the point where we have a waiting list. These members are from different religions and cultures.  The Shumeez Scott Foundation are compliant to the COVID – 19  rules and POPI Act 4 of 2013 (South Africa).
